  GataGoalie offers On-Ice Training in the form of private lessons, goalie clinics, and goalie camps. During on-ice sessions, goalies will go through a variety of drills, which are designed to replicate game situations and practice various skills and techniques such as edgework, positioning, and post-integration. Sessions are customized to meet the level and needs of each goaltender. Goalies will progress from building a strong foundation, of skills, to applying them, at a high level. Our home rink for On-Ice Training is TGH Ice Plex in Brandon, FL, however, GataGoalie will also travel to a rink near you.

  GataGoalie provides private and group Off-Ice Training Sessions. During off-ice sessions, goaltenders will train to meet the specific needs, for their position. Workouts are created specifically for goalies and include exercises designed to improve a goaltenders’ strength, speed, stamina, mobility, and hand-eye coordination. Exercises are age appropriate and will be taught how to perform properly, to ensure the safety of each goalie. Personal, Customized, Off-Ice Training Programs are also offered. Training Programs are designed based around the goaltenders’ age and level, in-season or off-season, and daily schedule.

  Can’t find a time to work with us on the ice? We got you covered. GataGoalie now provides At-Home, On-Ice, Private Lessons, using our Brand-New Hockey Shot Synthetic Ice. Our Synthetic Ice provides us a reliable alternative, for On-Ice Training, when ice is not available. It allows us to do On-Ice Training, without you ever having to leave home. Since we bring the ice right to your home, you now have the flexibility to get your On-Ice Training done, around your own schedule. We use Hockey Shot’s Synthetic Ice, as it provides us the best “real ice” feel. Their ice allows us to both, slide and hold our edges. All Synthetic Ice lessons come with a complimentary skate sharpening.  

  Introduced, as a result, of the Covid Outbreak, Zoom Training Sessions debuted, in May 2020 and are here to stay. Zoom Training allows for off-ice workouts to be done, in the comfort of your home, while also adding the flexibility to be done, around your schedule. Workouts are designed to improve a goaltenders’ strength, speed, stamina, mobility, and hand-eye coordination. Sessions are age appropriate and exercises are taught how to perform properly, to ensure the safety of each goalie. No gym equipment is required. Workouts are creatively created, to use a combination, of bodyweight exercises and basic household items, as gym equipment. Zoom Training is offered in both private sessions and group classes. 

  Train like a Pro with our Brand-New, Sense Arena Goaltending Training System. Through the use of Virtual Reality, we now have the ability to train our body and minds, anytime and anywhere. It also allows us to do so without, the physical wear and tear that normally comes with on-ice training. The Sense Arena Training System provides us with real life practice drills, game situations, and analytics. It also features custom training programs, interactive videos, and 3D replay. Use it by itself or give it a try on our synthetic ice, for that real, on-ice feel.   Our Brand-New, Prosharp Skate Sharpener, will provide us with the opportunity to start and finish all of our on-ice sessions, with professional and quality edges. We went with Prosharp over the competition, as the equipment is simply the best at what it does. By providing a consistent sharpening, we can now be confident, in our skates and trust our edges, every time we play. As goalies, we need to be the best skaters on the ice. Prosharp’s high quality edges will allow us to push ourselves every time that we are on the ice, so that we can develop, into the skaters that we need to be to play the position.
